Reality Chant Productions proudly presents Country Living - the uplifting debut riddim release out on 7″ vinyl, produced by Gabriel ‘Messenjah’ Calcott, which heralds a new era in modern roots production for Australasia.
Featuring versions from internationally renowned Jamaican vocalists, Luciano, Mikey General, Jah Mason, Chrisinti and Ginjah, alongside the irrepressible Dubwize vocalist, David ‘Snypa Levi’, the Country Living Riddim carries New Zealand reggae forward, combining premier international talent with Aotearoa’s leading artists.
Recorded at studios in Kingston Jamaica, Atlanta USA and Christchurch and Wellington New Zealand, the riddim features the triumphantly blazing brass section of trumpeter Isaac Aesili (Open Souls, Solaa) and trombonist Haydn Godfrey (Batacuda Sound Machine), thunderous bass and crystalline keyboard riffs courtesy of Nava ‘Confucius’ Thomas and the luscious backing vocals of Porina McLeod, all produced and mixed by Reality Chant founder, Messenjah.
